The day I found my feet

The day I found my feet

My life began the day
I found my trainers
Sky full of rain and grey
It became a no brainer
It was the start of my recovery
Even with you still at large
Fighting against the anxiety
Your attempts to sabotage
A beach run my best discovery
The wave lashing at my feet
Collecting pebbles in a jar
Every time I felt the heat
I ran off my triggered trauma
Pounding the hot sunny street
Full of pain, full of anger
It was the day I found my feet
